The formal definition of a proclamation is, " An act that formally declares to the general public that the government has acted in a particular way. A written or printed document issued by a superior government executive, such as the mayor, which sets out such a declaration by the government."
In the case of Spring Lake, the Mayor issues proclamations on behalf of the Town
primarily for ceremonial or commemorative purposes that are of general interest to the public. In the interest of public interest, the Town is showcasing its proclamations here. All citizens are encouraged to read and observe that which has been proclaimed by the Town.
For more information on any current or archived proclamations, please contact the the Town Clerk, Rhonda Webb, by e-mail or by phone at (910) 703-8900.
